This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winners, JustHeather and Desirae F. Thanks to everyone who entered … now go Colts!
While many moms around the country have been counting down the days until school starts again, I’ve been having a different kind of countdown in my head: how many more days until the NFL season kicks off? Yes, I’m very ready for some football.
Yesterday might not have been the official start of NFL football, but it was the first Sunday in a very long time that I found myself with my feet up, cheering on my favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts. Even if it’s preseason, it’s still football. And in case you haven’t heard, there were a few changes during the off-season.
We have some new faces.
We have some old faces.
But we are still Luck-y enough to have football in Indianapolis (I’m so sorry, I had to get it out of my system), and we are also privileged to have an NFL team that does so much for the community. Fuel Up To Play 60 is just one of the many programs that the NFL sponsors. As a mom of school-age kids, this particular program means a lot to me. In partnership with the National Dairy Council, the goal of Fuel Up To Play 60 is to develop long-term health and wellness solutions that begin in our schools with the goal of encouraging physical activity and good nutrition among youth. The fact that they made one of the coolest commercials ever just makes me love the program even more. You can learn more about the initiative, including how to get involved, by visiting the Fuel Up To Play 60 website.
Indiana Dairy would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about the program and supporting this initiative locally. Exactly how would they like to thank you? By sending you to a Colts preseason game! Thanks to Indiana Dairy, I’m giving away 2 sets of tickets to 2 Luck-y fortunate readers. Each winner will receive 2 tickets to the Colts preseason game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, August 30th. Here’s how to enter:
- Leave a comment telling me who is your favorite NFL player and why.
- Tweet and/or share this giveaway on Facebook, leaving a separate comment for each telling me that you did so.
- Like Just Like The Number on Facebook, leaving a separate comment telling me that you did so.
The contest will run through 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 18th. Winners will be notified via email and have 24 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen. Thanks and good luck!
Thanks to Indiana Dairy for sponsoring this giveaway. While I was compensated for hosting the giveaway, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dwight Freeney is my favorite Colts player b/c he never gives up & keeps going for the opposing QB. Thanks for the chance to win!

When are you going to be the official Colts Mom Blogger? Because I would read your wrap-ups every week.
My favorite player would have to be Peyton because he gave us so much. Close runner-up would be Harbaugh because I have fond memories cheering for him. Thanks for hosting this!

My favorite NFL player is Austin Collie. He has been through so much with the concussions and not being able to play like he wants but still holds his head high and doesn’t let it get the better of him. Oh and thanks for the opportunity to try and win!

Reggie Wayne, and not just because he’s hot. There’s nothing I love more during football season than watching him snag a pass out of thin air.

I’m a Peyton fan, because of his work ethic, but I have to say, I’m feeling like Luck is going to work out!

Jeff Saturday. I’m so sad he is not a Colt any more. He was a class act who held the door open for me on two occasions when we were both taking our kids to swimming lessons.

My favorite NFL player is Drew Brees. I’m a Purdue Alum which is part of it, but mainly I admire him for all of his philanthropic efforts. He’s a stand up guy!
