Before the plague was set upon our house, we had a lovely trip to Stuckey's apple orchard with my friend Jen and her son Ethan. I used to go there on field trips as a kid, so it was sweet and a bit nostalgic to go back with my own brood. It was also Eli's first trip to an apple orchard. He was big fan.
Elena did all of the picking for our family and she did a great job. A nice mix of Honeycrisp and Cortlands, with nary a rotten or wormy apple in the bunch.
The Cortland's are the best. They are so dark on the trees they look purple.
This is a man on a mission. I'm pretty sure he was headed back to the barn for snacks. Remember what I said about his ability to crawl on any surface without care? This is typical Eli.
Ethan hearts NY . . . Elena hearts Ethan.
So with 8 lbs of apples, 2 apple cider slushies, and some marshmallow pumpkins purchased it was time to head home. I'm so glad it's fall.

L.O.V.E that picture of Eli crawling. I’m going to come up with a tag line. Can I put it on my facebook?
