Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Influence Central for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to purchase clothing, but all images and thoughts are my own. The funky fresh spring attitude and style is 100% Eli.
Do you shop at OshKosh B’gosh? For years I only thought of them as that company that made those overalls. It wasn’t until my friend Julie tipped me off to the OshKosh store that I realized how much more OshKosh had to offer. She’s a pro at dressing her kids for fabulous photo shoots, and she shops the OshKosh racks frequently for stylish and fun coordinating kids’ clothing at great prices. Having been the lucky benefactor of many of her son’s OshKosh hand-me-downs, I can attest that the clothing not only looks great, but holds up well to rough and tumble play that comes along with being a kid.
When OshKosh asked if Eli and I would be up for a little shopping spree in their store to get Eli’s wardrobe ready for spring, we were both pumped. We’re headed to Texas for spring break adventures (and hopefully something that actually resembles spring temperatures). We’re ready to ditch the long sleeves, dark colors and layers behind for lighter, brighter colors, fun patterns and prints to usher in spring and summer.
I rarely take Eli shopping with me, preferring to grab stuff while I’m out and hope that he’ll like it. What a mistake! He loved shopping for his own things in the OshKosh store, and picked out things I never would’ve considered for him. It’s so fun to see his own fresh style revealed in the outfits he put together himself.
Right off the bat he loved these Mesh Shorts and the Baseball Active Tee. He was super excited about the tee, as we just signed him up for his first season of baseball. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous at this point. Eli would live in sports pants and tees if given the choice. I was preparing my “boys cannot live by drawstring alone” speech when he spotted a fedora. A fedora!
I would never, in a million years, have picked up a fedora while shopping for Eli and thought, “He’ll love it!” But he does, and so do I … The Perfect Gentleman, indeed. It looks just as good with this graphic tee as it does with dressier shirts.
Pictured: The much-loved Fedora, white Polo Shirt, and plaid Cargo Shorts. How great will these colors look with a backdrop of Texas bluebonnets?
Eli has a slight camo obsession. He comes by it honestly … I feel the same way about stripes. I was ready to say no to any new camo, but he fell hard for this Camo Surfer Tank. I gave in because the fresh, light colors are a change from all the dark green came he already has. Also, he spent several minutes flexing his muscles in the dressing room mirror. “Look at these guns, Mom!” Okay, fine. I also let him walk out the door with Camo Flip Flops. In related news, I’m a pushover. He paired them with navy Camp Shorts. Sunglasses are from his private collection. (I couldn’t resist typing that. Makes me feel like a “real, alive” fashion blogger, as Eli would say.)
Just to show you how difficult Mother Nature is making it for us to #ImagineSpring here in Indiana, I give you Exhibit A: sleet. Thank goodness these sharp grey Skinny Jeans and Mesh Sneakers will make the transition from cold, gloomy days to bright, sunny ones. Sunny days are right around the corner, right? Right??!!
Eli’s skeptical. So am I, Mother Nature. SO AM I. For now, we’ll take solace in this bright yellow Graphic Tee.

1) I can’t make any promises about the weather, but it was in the 80s yesterday and in the 70s for the foreseeable future.
2) What is the “must see” for a road trip in Texas in April? BLUEBONNETS n Blue Bell, y’all!!!

I LOVE this! “boys cannot live by drawstring alone” I cannot TELL you how many times I have said ‘no more drawstrings’ in a very mommy dearest tone! Great photos 🙂 He’s a cutie! And the clothes are great too 🙂
