Last week Eli received an invitation to a birthday party. It’s a football-themed event, and the party details were flanked by a photo of the birthday boy on one side and our own Andrew Luck on the other. Did I mention how much I like this kid? Good taste, that one.
While shopping for a birthday gift, I came across this NFL Sticker Album. Eli got a free one, along with a few packs of stickers, at the NFL Experience when Indy hosted the Super Bowl in 2012. He loved his, so it seemed like a no-brainer pick for the birthday boy.
I pulled one off the shelf and flipped through it quickly, just to make sure it was in good shape. When I got to the last page I noticed that one of the stickers was missing. I put it back and pulled out the next one. Same thing. Every single copy was missing the sticker for Player 40.
“What kind of asshat goes around stealing stickers out of a kids’ sticker book?” I thought to myself. “And who, exactly, are they after?”
Turns out this is Player 40.
So apparently the asshat who removed all the stickers is the one who cares enough to keep your kids away from Aaron Hernandez. So yeah, we’re all good here. I hope you enjoy your (alleged) felon-free birthday gift, Andrew.
