It's the weekend! Mike and I have a few hours to ourselves tonight, thanks to Parents' Night Out at our church. It's been awhile since we've been out together without the children, so I'm looking forward to it. Between lolling about this morning, running, and grocery shopping, there hasn't been much time for blogging, so instead of a lengthy post I'll leave you with an Eli story and send you on your way to enjoy your weekend.
We were using the bathroom at friend's house yesterday, and she had a scale in the bathroom. Eli stepped on it and asked, "How many points am I, momma?"
This morning I did my weekly weigh in on our very own scale. As the numbers flashed before me, all I could think of was, "High Score!" Too many video games in this house, and probably one too many trips to the Halloween candy stash for me.
Today I Gave: I had a date with my husband. I did something nice for him. It's a family blog, so that's all you need to know. *wink wink*
Today I Received: The gift of some much needed adult time with my husband. A big thank you to St. Luke's, for providing the ministry of Parents' Night Out, to the volunteers who organize the whole she-bang and to the parents that show up when it's their turn to watch the kids.
