Three weeks ago I couldn't have gotten a shot like this.
But in the last few weeks I've been pushing myself to learn more about two things: my camera and flickr. I've had a digital SLR camera (which translates into fancy pants camera) for over a year now, and decided it was high time I learn how to actually use the camera. I signed up for a 4 week class through Indy Photo Coach and boy howdy, did it ever help. It was perfect for beginners who are looking to shoot out of automatic mode. Which means I now know what crazy words like aperture mean, and shutter speed is no longer fuzzy math.
Through the prodding of a few friends, I've also been trying to figure out flickr. I haven't come nearly as far on that, but I am uploading more of my photos on there. I guess it's what all the cool kids are doing. And you know I'm such an early adapter. Heh.

I love Digital Photography School! Some of the stuff is way over my head, but other stuff is so helpful. I highly recommend taking a class, though. My other favorite website for photography is Texas Chicks Blogs and Pics. Odd name, but good stuff.
