Bothered

Two Things  are bothering me today.  They might not seem related at first glance, but hang with me and you'll see that they are.

Number 1:  Today is Super Bowl Sunday.  It is the first Super Bowl since I've been blogging that there hasn't been a Manning in the Super Bowl.  I'm trying really hard to get excited for the game, but it's just not happening.  For me, a Championship game without a Manning is like Christmas with no presents.   My only consolation is that I know there will be a commercial with Peyton in it.  Isn't there always?

Number 2:  I stopped at Pat-a-Cakes on Friday to treat the kids to cookies.  I thought I'd be nice and bring home an iced cut-out for Mike.  That very cookie is still sitting in the bag on the kitchen counter.  Who waits 2 days to eat a cookie?  A Pat-a-Cake cookie of all things!  Mine don't even make it out of the car.

And how are these two things related?  It's a football-shaped cookie.  Coincidence?  I think not.
