One of the benefits of having your kids spaced 5 years apart is the availability of an extra reader in the family. Eli is loving books right now, and spends much of the day with a book in hand in search of someone with literacy skills and a lap.
Elena was the chosen reader this evening, right before bedtime. It's not as long as it appears. I'm new to this Photoshop video editing thing, and I apparently have the video in duplicate on there. So in the first 4 1/2 minutes or so you get to see Eli make out with his Rita . . . now you know why we have to have 3 of them. Plus, you get most excellent pronunciations of the words "boogie-woogie," "shoobie-doobie," and "Arkansas." There is live-action footage of my kids showing each other affection, which is not an every-day occurance. Plus, it's essentially a free audio download of a really great book, "Baby Danced the Polka," narrated by my very own capable reader.

Hey! I wasn’t sure what Ethan would think of this but he thought it was SO CUTE seeing Eli with his stuffed animal/Rita. That was his favorite part. So sweet!!
