Caterpillars are veryhungry! Here’s one of our two caterpillars. I wish I had a picture of how they started out. They were about the size of a tic-tac. It’s amazing how they’ve changed in appearance as well, from furry and worm-like to spiny and now to smooth. We fill their home with carrot greens every evening and by mid-day the next day they’ve just about eaten everything. Next we give them one piece of chocolate cake, one slice of salami . . .
I’ve been absolutely giddy this afternoon fooling around with my new camera. I’m just using the automatic settings, but it’s taken more fabulous pictures in one afternoon than I’ve taken all year with my old point and shoot. Hopefully it won’t let me down as we get some pictures tomorrow of Eli meeting his new best friend: birthday cake.
