For a while now I’ve been meaning to highlight some of the blogs that I read on a regular basis. Who knows, maybe you’ll find something out there that catches your fancy as well. If nothing else, you’ll have an idea of what floats my boat when I’m goofing off on the web. To start this off with some posterity, though, the first blog is actually about personal finance. I know, I know, how exciting can that be? But Trent at The Simple Dollar writes some really fascinating and thought-provoking stuff about managing your finances and saving money. Some recent favorite posts have been “100 Things to Do During a Money-Free Weekend,” “The Difference Between a Job and a Career,” and “Lifestyle Choices as a Hedge Against Inflation.” Like Dave Ramsey, Trent has been on the wrong side of financial peace, so it’s refreshing and helpful to hear from someone who’s dug themselves out of the trenches. Mike and I can certainly appreciate that. So check it out if you’re at all inclined.
