Last weekend Elena had her second violin recital, and she chose Offenbach's Can-can for her performance. This will probably be her last violin recital, since she's expressing an interest in learning piano (she prefers to pick out her violin pieces on the piano over actually practicing them on the violin these days). We were a little worried before the recital, because she was really giving us a hard time about practicing, and the day of the recital it wasn't sounding so good. But we think she hit it out of the ballpark when it was crunch time. You can decide for your self . . .
