I’m a little behind here, as the crocuses have already bloomed and moved on, but this picture just makes me so hap-hap-happy. Now we have daffodils and very soon we should have lilacs, my most favorite thing about the Midwest. Last year a late snowstorm killed off all the lilac blooms, which was just really cruel and unnecessary.
We were on a walk the other evening and Elena was gathering some "nature" things that we have a craft planned for. She picked up some kind of leaf and I commented, "Wow, that’s a really cool shape, isn’t it?" Elena’s like, "Yeah! It looks just like a spade in poker!"
