This is Mike’s second week of leave, and it’s been really nice so far. This morning the whole family was in the car to take Elena to school, since we had a spring conference scheduled with her teacher. I brought up the fact that it was Friday to Elena, asking her if she was excited about our movie for movie night (Shrek 2).
Mike: It’s Friday already??
Me: Uh, yeah. What day did you think it was?
Mike: I have no idea anymore. They just kind of run together now.
Elena: Daddy, I know how you can fix that. You can get underwear with the days of the week on them so you always know what day it is.
Now that I’d love to see.

Since Mike is of the male species, and myself being an expert in the area of male species and underwear — make sure you find the brand that I saw at ACL last fall — the waistband says “change daily.” !!!
