Today was the annual "Taste of the World" event at Elena’s school. Basically each classroom represents a continent, highlights a few of the countries, serves some food from that continent, yada yada. Last year I went and walked around the classrooms with Elena and it was really fun and tasty. This year they asked me to help. I’d post a picture, but there isn’t a decent one in the bunch. Holy Stressful! I stayed behind in the classroom with another student’s grandmother. Our job was to keep the kids in order and help them do their presentations and serve food while the other half of their classroom toured the other continents. Let’s see, we had one kid oinking while the others were reciting their facts, we had a rebel group covering their faces and bodies with a South America stamp, two kids crying for their mothers . . . I’m sure Maria Montessori was rolling over in her grave somewhere in Italy.
