Broccoli has been a bit hit lately. It’s just the right size for Eli to grab and gnaw on. We’re kind of moving away from pureeing food and spoon-feeding him. Unless it’s cereal, avocados, or sweet potatoes, he’s just not interested. Throw some food on his tray, though, and he’s eating with gusto. Oddly enough, he’s not a big fan of fruit. It looks like a food tornado under his chair, though. It’s times like that when I miss having a dog around.
By the time I finished last night’s post, Mike was in full blown vomit mode. As were my sister, her boyfriend, and my nephew. Around 1 a.m. Eli joined in. Turns out feeding him from Mike’s plate at lunch yesterday might not have been the grandest idea. Luckily Elena and I have been spared. I was already almost beside myself with giddiness at my girl’s trip coming up this Thursday. After 2 nights of kid duty and cleaning up puke, I can barely wait to get going. Of course, I’m overly excited to hang out with my girlfriends, but 3 nights of uninterrupted sleep? Heaven. I’ll do my best to make it until then.
