Obviously I’ve missed a few days here. This 30 posts in 30 days is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Even missing a few days here and there is better than my previous one-post-a-month, though. So what’s been going on? Getting ready for the consignment sale took up a huge chunk of time last week. The good news is that I sold practically everything I consigned. Unfortunately the sale was kind of a let-down for me, at least by Nashville consignment sale standards. For those of you who know my shopping habits well, I did score some good shoes, though!
Like most of you, we’ve had our share of winter weather in March. On Wednesday morning we woke up to this:
Pretty, but not so much fun to drive in. And yet, not even so much as a 2-hour delay. Did I mention we haven’t had a single snow day this year? We were spared the big snowstorm on Friday evening.
We spent most of the weekend just relishing doing nothing. Elena thought it was about time Eli learn how to have a proper tea party. She was even brave enough to use her china tea set. Whoozit and monkey were invited, too.
Eli got bored when he realized there wasn’t any actual food being served with tea. I could see a light bulb go off in Elena’s head, though, as she realized that she now has an actual human being in her very own house that she can use as a prop for whatever thing she’s imagining at the time. I see Eli in a dress and lip gloss very soon.
And finally, Elena went to another birthday party this weekend. They had face painting there, and I saw most of the kids sporting hearts, butterflies, rainbows, etc. Here’s what Elena chose:
I guess all this talk recently about being a good example and making good choices seems to be sinking in.
