Sorry about the short hiatus. Things kind of fell apart on Friday. Eli woke up with a drippy nose and just went downhill from there. Grandpa Paul came in town Friday evening through Sunday, so posting kind of went by the wayside.
We’ve also been working really hard on Elena’s very first science fair project. Being a microbiologist myself, I was ready to grow something smelly and slimy. Mike vetoed that idea right away. So we went with an idea I saw in Wondertime magazine, building tetrahedrons (3-D triangles) out of pretzels and gumdrops. We also built some cubes, and Elena tested which shape was stronger by stacking DVDs on top of each shape. Kind of a crazy amount of work for kindergarten, but she loved it and is so proud of her project. Awards are handed out Friday, so I’ll let you know how it goes.
