Maybe it’s just being cooped up in the house with no adults to speak to, but I’ve got a whole bunch to say today and more than one picture. This will make up for a day that will surely come in the next 27 days when I have no pictures and no words.
Elena stayed home from school again today. No more throwing up, but still feverish this morning. After some Motrin and a nap she was almost back to normal. So take her normal energy level, suck a few kilowatts out of her, and you have 1) Elena not feeling completely better or 2) anyone else’s kid. It snowed last night and it was killing her not to be able to go out and play. I believe the total sum of things she ate today was: 2 cups of apple juice, 1 cup of oj, a handful of peanut butter crackers, 1 carrot, and 1 bite of manicotti. Just for kicks we measured her waist against Eli’s waist. They are exactly the same.
I moved Eli’s exersaucer over by the sliding doors so he could look at something other than our legs or the dishwasher. He’s seriously contemplating the snow and wondering how of all the places babies could go, how did he end up in Indiana. I love the wrinkled brow. Such a serious guy.
And finally, we had a nice treat in the mailbox today. As mentioned in an earlier post, Mike and I are what’s known as a "Miami Merger." Every year Miami sends us a Valentine. I love them- they’re always different and, cheesy as it may be, I love the poem. This year didn’t disappoint.
