I’m back from my girl’s trip to Florida. The four of us had a wonderful time in Santa Rosa Beach (near Destin). We had one great day on the beach. The following day the weather was a little more dicey, but that gave us an excuse to leave the beach and do some shopping. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend a couple of restaurants. For a wonderful dinner go to Bud & Alley’s in Seaside. Seaside is adorable, and they have a great location right on the beach. The food was amazing. I had seafood chowder for an appetizer, tilapia over garlic chive mashed potatoes with a mushroom and country ham ragout for dinner, and tiramisu for dessert. YUM! We also had breakfast our last morning at The Donut Hole in Santa Rosa. YUM again. Even though we had a sit-down breakfast, I couldn’t leave without taking a couple of doughnuts for the trip home. I also snagged the gigantic chocolate chip cookie for Elena. Would you believe that cookie was only $1.15? It lasted her 3 days!
In the picture you can see her new car seat. It really is the same size as a small barcalounger, only with a 5-point harness. Thank God she loves it, despite it’s ugliness.
Look for some sports updates next week. Elena has her first real soccer game next Wednesday. Once again, we’re doing it through the YMCA, so I’m sure she’ll be royally pissed when she figures out they don’t keep score (Everyone’s a winner!!!).
Also, as far as a baby update, I had my monthly appointment with my midwife on Tuesday. Our ultrasound results look great, though they estimated my due date as Aug. 6 and we thought it was Aug. 13. Everything looks good, though.
Until next time!
