This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winner, designhermomma!
It seems to be the summer of giveaways here! This is a quick turn-around giveaway, but if you live in or near Indianapolis it’s a really good one. Especially if you like good local food.
One of the best parts of living in the Midwest is our proximity to an amazing array of food. From the cattle, lamb, goats and pigs that are raised not far from our backyards to the produce that might even come from our backyard, we have a bounty of choices when it comes to enjoying Indiana food.
At the same time, it can be easy for Hoosiers to get overlooked, and even overshadowed, by the other culinary capitals. Chefs Thom England and Neal Brown recognized this, and wanted to do something to showcase Indiana’s proud agricultural heritage. In August of 2009 Dig IN made its debut as gastronomic event to show off the best of local chefs along with wine and beer producers.
This year’s Dig IN will take place Sunday, August 26th from noon to 5 p.m. at White River State Park. Indiana’s Family of Farmers, who will be honored to provide the meat and produce for the event, would like for you to experience this phenomenal event. Thanks to them, I have 2 tickets to give away to one lucky reader.
Since this is a quick giveaway, I’ll make it easy for you. All you need to do to enter is leave a comment telling me what’s your favorite local food to “Dig IN” to. Mine right now might be gorgeous red raspberries like these.
The giveaway will end at noon eastern on Thursday, August 16th (I told you it was quick!). The winner will be notified via email and have 24 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen. Thanks and good luck!
As an ambassador for Indiana’s Family of Farmers, I was compensated for hosting this giveaway. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
