One of the things I love most about blogging is the way it connects us. I love seeing my own community grow, and I really, really love sharing the talented bloggers I've come to know with others. In no particular order, here are five bloggers who I anxiously await new writing from and why I find them so fabulous.
Katy of Thought For Food
Katy is a blogger that I've had the privilege of getting to know in real life. She's one of three Indy bloggers on my list – not because I'm partial to locals, but because we have some really talented bloggers in these parts. This past weekend was the one year anniversary of my blind date with Katy and her husband. Isn't that romantic? You can read her account of that momentous occasion and get a taste of why I love her as a writer. Her food writing is almost poetic (as in good enough to read aloud on NPR), and she challenges me to think about the food we buy and serve in a way that is always thoughtful, but never preachy or condescending. It also helps that she's a Southerner living in my Yankee world – she's a little piece of the South that I miss so much right here in Indy.
Rebecca of Country Fried Mama
Another blogger with a touch of the South, only Rebecca is a Yankee transplant to the deep South. Her writing is witty and humorous, but she's not afraid to ask big questions, whether it's about religion, politics or blogging. She's moving even further South this year, so I'm anticipating lots of good material to come!
Anna of ABDPBT
Alright, this one is going to surprise, and even irk some people. Lots of people love Anna, lots of people hate her. Her tagline is "Living life with a side of snark," so it's not like she's luring you in with kittens and unicorns. She maintains several different blogs under her main website, but it's her Personal Finance blog that I'm sold on. I don't know anyone else who covers the business of mommy blogging like Anna does. I don't always agree with her, but she makes me think and she's made me a savvier blogger for sure. Her series on "Monetizing the Mommy Blog" is a great example of the kind of writing she does that makes me go, "Huh. Good to know."
Cherie of Queen of Free
I follow quite a few frugal bloggers, but Cherie has a special place in my frugal heart because she's a fellow Dave Ramsey fan. She's doing a series right now on 31 Days to Reducing Your Debt that is awesome. It's not so much the ideas she's putting forth (although they are certainly helpful), it's the honesty with which she covers personal finance. I loved this post she wrote in particular, about not comparing your personal finance situation with those around you. She put words to the envy I've often felt in my own heart.
Casey of Moosh In Indy
Casey will lure you in with her photos and then blow you away with her words. She's unflinchingly honest, and because of that she's touched so many people who struggle with infertility and depression. Don't skip out on her blog because you fear it will be too dark, though. She's also one of the funniest bloggers I know. She makes me laugh. She makes me cry. She loves the Indiana State Fair. I love her.
These are just a handful of bloggers I think are spectacular. Who are some of your favorite bloggers and what makes them fabulous?
Don't forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to support a friend's wish. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

You’re too kind friend. Thanks for honoring me by including me with such amazing bloggers. I do my best to hand out advice with a large dose of honesty about my own situation. I hope it helps others and it’s cathartic for me. That post flowed within a matter of minutes because it’s so near to my heart. Glad it impacted you.

So good to know you in real life! I hope this brings you a whole gaggle of new fans.

Nice title ; )
Thank you for including me on a stellar list of bloggers! Of course I look so much better on the paper of your blog post than in real life. I’ll just read this little bit next time I’m throwing a pity party (I’m sure I have one scheduled soon).
I am more than happy to represent a bit of the South for you. Though I’m not so sure the South would feel the same way…
So glad that you guys answered the call of a blog-stalker a year ago, and that conversation that night rescued us all from a mediocre dinner (I still feel bad about the resulting un-follow from a certain restauranteur).

YOU are spectacular. Thank you for including me in such a wonderful post. I’m looking forward to checking out the other bloggers you note.
Are you at Blissdom this week? I’m sorry to miss it this year, and yet, I’m so overwhelmed by all I want to do and don’t have time to do, I’m not sure I could take more ideas right now.
But a lovely post like this feeds my blogging soul. Thank you!

Hah! Thank you so much for the nice write-up. And to pull it off in a sponsored post as well — touche my friend! Nicely played.
Angie Six says
Oh I disagree, you're even better in real life.

You're most welcome! No, I will not be at Blissdom, either. The new schedule combined with the price increase made it a no-go for me. I'm having to step away from Twitter right now because all the #blissdom tweets are killing me. Definitely saving my pennies to go next year. I'm not sure I have room for more ideas, either. Pretty sure I still have a long list of things from last Blissdom that are still on my blog's to-do list!

You're most welcome. Your insight into this bizarro world of mommy blogging is always appreciated. I'd offer you sweet tea, but I don't think I have quite the same pull as Dooce.

Aw shucks, thanks darling.
I love that you love the fair too.
We should meet up there again this year. Deal?
Deal.
Angie Six says
Deal. Surely Mozzi will be ready for her first corn dog by then, right?
