After the double posts yesterday, one of which was a behemoth, I will keep it short and sweet today. Really sweet, actually. Sugar sweet.
I was meandering the aisles of The Fresh Market when the idea for today's gift came to me. Meandering in that store, for me, is a dangerous thing. It's one of those stores where I'm better off just running in, getting exactly what's on my list, and running out. Better for my waist line, better for the budget. I hate to do that, though. One of my greatest pleasures in life is meandering the aisles of upscale grocery stores/food markets. You might travel and want to visit museums or gardens. I like to visit the supermarket.
It's just so fascinating to me, all the different kinds of foods that exist out there. I love looking at jars and admiring labels. So I found myself wandering The Fresh Market this morning, with time on my hands and no little people to look after.
I can always find treats for myself in a place like that, but today something caught my eye for my own sweetie.
Today I Gave: Do you think it's just a Coke? Do you think that's pretty lame? Well, it's actually Mexican Coke, which means it's been sweetened with sugar instead of corn syrup. Mike's the avid Coke drinker in our family, so I thought it would be fun to treat him to a new kind of Coke. Plus, it's in a fun glass bottle.
Today I Received: The gift of a beautiful day. I know what the weather is supposed to be like here in central Indiana in November. 70 and sunny is not it. It was gorgeous today and I took it as a sign from God to enjoy it. We spent the afternoon at the park, relishing every minute of not having to wear a jacket. That was pretty sweet, too.

My favorite Mexican restaurant down here has that yummy Coke & I used to have to get it everytime! [too bad I’m 4 weeks caffeine free] LOL!!
Nice work on breaking the caffeine habit . . . as I sit here drinking my first cup of coffee of the day and thinking it tastes like the nectar of the Gods. Mike loved it, so now I'm on the hunt for more.
