New and Improved . . . BAZINGA!

March 23, 2010 angie

I love it when I tell people I've been blogging for 3 1/2 years.  I love it because most people then assume that I have mad web design skillz and that I must be a tech genius.  Then I get to have my Sheldon Cooper moment and say: Bazinga!

The reality is that I have a dreadfully long and drawn out learning curve, and some of the cool things I see on other blogs involve much googling, handbooks for dummies, coffee and swearing for me to figure out . . . or not.

All this is to say that I've finally taken a few minutes to include the option to subscribe to Just Like The Number by e-mail.  Just click on the link on the left sidebar, under "Subscribe To My Feed."  It will direct you to a form that asks for your e-mail address.  Of course you can still subscribe through a RSS feed (such as Google Reader).  If you prefer that option just click on the orange RSS icon above the link to subscribe by e-mail.

I have a little goal for myself to reach a certain number of subscribers by the end of the year.  I'm a little over halfway there!  If you enjoy what you read here and you aren't currently a subscriber, I'd be so very honored if you would consider doing so.  If you're already a subscriber, thank you so much!  I'm always humbled when you've spent a part of your busy day here in my little corner of the web.

Now for a little fun . . .

I'm always looking for new blogs to subscribe to and love.  What's one of your favorites, a blog whose latest posts you hate to miss?

I'll go first!  My newest find came to me from Indianapolis Amy.  It's Annie's Eats.  Lovely food and lovely photos from a fellow Hoosier.

I’m glad this isn’t another medical post. Your family needs a break from all that! Some of my favorites are Moosh in Indy and Big Mama (http://thebigmamablog.com/).

Seriously! I really prefer blogging about what I ate for dinner and my underwear. I love Moosh in Indy, too. I must say, we have some phenomenal women bloggers in these parts!

Angie: So I have been inspired by some of the blogs you have posted and decided to get on board with this technology. My girls tell me I am addicted to Facebook so wanted to make the next move into blogging. Rather challenging for me right now trying to get this set up like I want. I love your 3 six 5 project. I look forward to seeing your pictures. I am still into photography and have thought about taking on the challenge as well. The girls got sick of me taking pictures last week while we were on vacation. Anyways thanks for the inspiration although I have spent a few moments swearing still trying to get all this set up.

Leann, it means so much to me that you visit my blog! Ive seen some of the photographs youve taken of the girls and theyre beautiful. Youve got quite a talent for photography yourself. If you have any questions about setting up some blog subscriptions in some kind of reader or by e-mail dont hesitate to get in touch with me. As I said, Im on a pretty slow learning curve myself. Will you be at the family reunion this year? It would be so fun to sit down and visit!

So I’m not sure about the reunion yet. Danielle graduates on June 6th and then the next day we are leaving on vacation with Randy’s entire family. His parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary so we are all going to Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Not sure how much more time off I will be able to get and we are planning John’s fiances baby shower on June 19th. Busy, busy month. I really want to go to the reunion though. I miss not being able to see everyone and I regret every year not going so maybe I’ll put myself first this year and go. Would love to catch up with everyone.
Yeah so I was asking my girls last night what the difference was between twittering and blogging. I already had this set up but was having some difficulty getting it to function like I wanted. I was ecstatic when I finally got my blog to post to facebook. Huge accomplishment. I know I just have to keep playing with it. Thanks for the offer of assistance I may have to hit you up for that if I can’t get some of the applications to work like I want.
Well I should go and get done with my baking for the evening. Have a Happy Easter.
