Eli has found a new passion to add to his joie de vivre . . .
Dip.
As in dipping any food into anything that resembles dip. His favorite by far is tried-and-true ketchup. Just look at these pictures and tell me dipping does not equal happiness.
There may be some of you who are thinking, "Lady, it's just another kid dipping food in ketchup. It's happening in a million kitchens across America every day." But you are mistaken.
It's my kid discovering something new and wonderful about food for the first time. It may be mundane, but I can't even begin to tell you the joy of something as small as a boy delighting in something sweet and gloppy brought to my not-so-sweet day.
You see, Mike lost his job today. I'm sad and mad and scared. But I'm not joyless. And God help me, if it takes condiments to make me smile, I will relish it (I couldn't resist!).
Dip on, bubbe.

I’d love to introduce Eli to salsa–my favorite condiment. All things are well in the world with SALSA!
Hugs to the Six fam. What exceptional perspective you keep in uncertain times. I’ve found myself in a similar spot and it always means better things are around the bend. Mike is smart, capable and certain to find a better opportunity!
